Inspired by her two grandmothers—(U)sha and rá(j)—each a symbol of grace and resilience, the brand name is also the name of a Mesopotamian god of animal husbandry and agriculture, embodying strength, growth, and abundance.

Our founder studied industrial design in Chicago for four years, where her passion for design grew, and where she also explored the ways in which a single piece can transform and empower. Her passion for accessories began early, and she found inspiration in how fashion could connect with personal identity. sha-rá blends this passion with a commitment to craftsmanship, using the finest materials from cruelty-free tanneries to create elegant, sustainable designs.
